OTET 2026 Results
Let me give you the numbers first so you know where you stand.
Out of 97,151 candidates who registered across Odisha, 84,731 actually appeared for the exam. That means about 12,420 people were absent. Among those who showed up, 53,314 candidates cleared the test. The overall pass percentage sits at roughly 64.48%.
That’s a decent success rate. Not too low, not unrealistically high. It tells me the paper was fair but still required solid preparation.

How to Download Your BSE Odisha OTET Result 2026 Scorecard
I know many of you are sitting with your phone or laptop right now, ready to check. Let me make this as simple as possible. Follow these steps carefully.
- Open your browser and go to the official BSE Odisha website: bseodisha.ac.in
Or head directly to the exam portal: bseoexams.org - On the homepage, look under the “Latest Updates” or “Notifications” section. You should see a clear link that says “Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2026 Result” or something very similar.
- Click that link. It will take you to the candidate login page. The direct path many students are using is something like
bseoexams.org/otet26/public/login.php. - Enter your registered mobile number or email ID and your password. Some years they also ask for date of birth, so keep that ready.
- Once you submit, your scorecard will appear on the screen. You will see your section-wise marks, total score, and whether you have qualified or not.
- Download the PDF immediately and also take a clear printout. Do not just screenshot. Save the official PDF safely on your phone and Google Drive.
If you forgot your password, don’t panic. There is a “Forgot Password” option right on the login page. It will send a reset link or OTP to your registered mobile or email.
For any technical issues — score not showing, login error, or wrong details — you can write to the official helpdesk at support@bseoexams.org. Keep your registration number and mobile number ready when you mail them.

Qualifying Marks
The OTET exam has 150 multiple-choice questions. Each question carries one mark and there is no negative marking. That last part is always a relief.
The qualifying cut-offs are fixed as per government rules:
- General / Unreserved category: You need at least 60% — that means 90 marks out of 150.
- SC / ST / SEBC / OBC and PwD candidates: You need 50% — which is 75 marks out of 150.
These are the minimum marks. Scoring exactly 90 or 75 is enough to get the “Qualified” status. Of course, higher scores help when recruitment notices come out later.
What You Must Check on Your Scorecard
When the PDF opens, don’t just look at the total marks and close it. Verify every single detail carefully. Mistakes do happen sometimes, and it’s better to catch them early.
Make sure these things are correct:
- Your full name, gender, and photograph
- Roll number and registration / application number
- Your social category (General, SEBC, SC, ST) and any PwD status
- Which paper you attempted — Paper 1, Paper 2, or both
- Section-wise marks and the final total
- The final status — “Qualified” or “Not Qualified”
If anything looks wrong, take a screenshot and contact the helpdesk immediately with proof.
What Students Are Saying About This Year’s Exam
I spent some time going through discussions on YouTube and Telegram groups after the result came out. The general feeling is interesting.
Many candidates felt that Paper 2, especially the Mathematics and Science stream, was a bit calculation-heavy this year. Paper 1, particularly the Child Development and Pedagogy section, felt closer to previous years’ patterns.
After the provisional answer key was released on July 24, 2026, a good number of students raised objections. BSE Odisha did review those challenges, and the final scorecards include the necessary adjustments. Some students who were sitting right on the border of the cut-off said those small changes helped them cross the line. That’s always good to hear.
Lifetime Validity and What Comes Next
One of the best things about OTET is that the qualifying certificate has lifetime validity as per NCTE guidelines. Once you clear it, you don’t have to appear again just to keep the certificate valid.
But remember — clearing OTET only makes you eligible. It does not give you a job automatically. You still have to apply for the actual recruitment drives conducted by the Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA). These include Junior Teacher (Schematic), Special Educator, and Regular Elementary Teacher posts.
So if you have qualified, keep an eye on the OSEPA website and official notifications. Prepare your documents in advance — marksheets, category certificates, OTET scorecard, etc.
If you did not qualify this time, please don’t get demotivated. Many successful teachers cleared OTET on their second or third attempt. Analyse where you lost marks, focus on those areas, and come back stronger next time.

Result Summary
- Download and save the scorecard the same day. Don’t wait.
- Take at least two clear printouts and keep them in different folders.
- Note down your exact marks somewhere safe. You will need them while filling recruitment forms.
- If you are close to the cut-off and still waiting for any answer-key related update, wait a few days and check again. Sometimes minor corrections appear.
- Start preparing your document folder now if you have qualified. It saves a lot of last-minute stress.
And one more thing – celebrate a little if you passed. You worked hard for this. Teaching is a beautiful profession, and clearing OTET is the first big step.

The BSE Odisha OTET Result 2026 is now live. Whether you cleared it or not, this is just one chapter. The students who succeed long-term are the ones who keep improving, stay consistent, and don’t lose hope after one result.
